The calf splint is specifically designed for calves suffering from flexion of the pastern joints. It is used to stabilise the limbs of newborn calves suffering from congenital tendon contracture (congenital neuromyodysplasia): to correct flexion deformities caused by shortened tendons and/or muscles.
The splint has internal padding for greater comfort for the animal. It is fully adjustable and reusable. Recommended wearing time: depending on severity, 14 to 28 days.
Features :
- Weight: 70 g.
- Length: 22 cm
- Material: Robust washable nylon and durable moulded ABS.

- Separate the calf from the mother to ensure your own safety.
- Immobilise the calf (with the help of a second person if necessary).
- Examine the leg for any injuries or skin changes.
Applying the splint :
- The splint is applied from the front with the wide opening facing downwards.
- Ensure that it extends from the hoof to just below the joint.
- Extend the limb and secure the splint using the Velcro strips.
- The splint must fit snugly without restricting blood circulation.
